How to: View modem settings.
Solution:
Click 'Properties' in the 'Modems Properties' dialog box, which is displayed by opening 'Modems' in the 'Control Panel'.
1) Click the 'Start' button to display the 'Start' menu.
2) Select 'Settings' and select 'Control Panel'. (The 'Control Panel' window appears.)

3) Double-click the 'Modems' icon. (The 'Modems Properties' dialog box appears.)

4) Select the appropriate modem and click 'Properties'. (The '<modem> Properties' dialog box appears, where <modem> is the selected modem.)
5) Click the 'Connection' tab.
6) (Optional) Click 'Port Settings...'. (The 'Advanced Port Settings' dialog box appears.)
7) (Optional) Make any desired changes and click 'OK'.
8) (Optional) Click 'Advanced...'. (The 'Advanced Connection Settings' dialog box appears.)
9) (Optional) Make any desired changes and click 'OK'.
10) Click the 'General' tab.
11) (Optional) Make any desired changes to the COM port, volume, or speed.
12) Click 'OK' to close the '<modem> Properties' dialog box (where <modem> is the selected modem).
13) Click 'OK' to close the 'Modems Properties' dialog box.
